You may be wondering what all supplies we recommend, We have a page on the website (https://www.steindoodles.com/supplies.html) with some information on that.
We have our three year genetic health guarantee (if you’re feeding life’s abundance) and 8 month guarantee if you’re feeding a different food. If you have any questions or issues with this, let us know! As always, if you realize any health issues after these three years- we would always like to be aware so we can make changes and help in figuring out a solution! We do not expect any, but flukes can happen.
The contract also states that the puppies are to be looked at by a veterinarian within 3 days of going to their new homes, we are not super strict with this- but would like it to be within the first week if possible- it is more so for your sake to know you got a healthy puppy. It is pretty common for them to have loose stool from stress when they arrive home, if there is any blood or loose stool continues for a couple days make sure you see a vet and let us know. They will be due for their 2nd puppy shot at around 10 weeks of age (or within 4 weeks of their previous shot).
We also have a page on what your puppy is currently eating. We highly recommend feeding life’s Abundance. I do not care if you decide to switch to a different brand, but I encourage you to at least start out by feeding what they are currently on for the first little while as the transition to a new home is stressful! If you decide to not feed this, we recommend you search out a high quality food like we feed as this can make all the difference in your dog's health & we WILL NOT cover any issues related to poor food, we will cover issues if you feed Life's Abundance as we know this food very well and have seen great results with it. Especially now during/after the pandemic, a lot of companies are substituting ingredients to make them more affordable but it is harming our pets. Life's Abundance has said they will not do this and are keeping the formulas the same.
You may notice loose stool over the first couple days, this is pretty common due to all the stress of a new environment and not having their littermates- it should get better within a few days. If you have any questions on anything food related don't hesitate to reach out! We can provide food to take home if you have not gotten any before picking them up. It should arrive within 2-3 days of ordering online.
We will be microchipping all the puppies before they go home and they will come with paperwork which can all be filled out online which gives you lifetime registration (all you need to do is register the chip with your contact info).

Payment: Final payment needs to be paid anytime from now until pickup. We accept Venmo (DO NOT MARK AS A GOOD OR SERVICE IF YOU USE THIS OPTION or we will charge you the fee), Zelle, or Cash at pickup. Some methods wont accept payments over $1500/day so may need to be paid over multiple days.
The remaining balance is the puppy fee minus the $500 deposit (if deposit was placed prior to 2024, it was $300). I will put a list of scenarios below. If anyone has questions on this, let us know. We prefer Venmo (the username is @riley_steiner) or Zelle (steindoodles@gmail.com or 330-347-4651) or you can pay with a credit card link (text me for the link - there is a fee.)
- $4,000 puppy: $4,000- $500 deposit = $3,500 remaining balance
- $3,750 puppy: $3,750- $500 deposit = $3,250 remaining balance
- $3,250 puppy: $3,250- $500 deposit = $2,750 remaining balance
- $2,750 puppy: $2,750- $500 deposit = $2,250 remaining balance
With the puppies, we send home a free stuffed moose with their mothers'/litter mates' scent on it, as well as their first collar.
Here is a list of what your puppy will come home with:
- Vet records (deworming at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks as well as their first shot from 6-8 weeks)

Insurance Information:
We offer trupanions insurance with our puppies. We don't get anything for this, but it's just an added benefit of purchasing one of our puppies. If you are interested in insurance, here is a little more information for you. We will be sending information home with your puppies as well. To enroll for the 30 FREE days you do not have to give them a card number, just call and set it up!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SIGNING UP FOR THIS!! A LARGE AMOUNT OF ISSUES HAPPEN WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH OF THEM COMING HOME, THIS WILL GREATLY REDUCE YOUR CHANCES OF HAVING TO PAY A LARGE FEE ONCE YOU JUST SPENT A GOOD AMOUNT ON A PUPPY! & DID I SAY ITS FREE?! NO PAYMENT INFORMATION NEEDED TO SIGN UP!!

Coverage STARTS the day you call to sign up, so I wouldn't do it before 6 weeks of age!
Attached you will find your personalized breeder offer (aka Go Home Day Offer). Your offer contains a promotional code specific to Steindoodles.. This promo code is the most important aspect of the breeder program because it is needed to activate coverage. Just remember that the activation has to happen anytime after a deposit has been placed on a puppy/selections have taken place or at the very latest within 24 hours after the puppy goes home. This means you can call in the day you place a deposit on a specific puppy/know which exact puppy you are getting, you must activate this at the very latest 24 hours after the puppy goes home.
